About Me

I am a children's picture book author.  I live in Spain but was born in Peterborough in England.  As well as writing children's stories, I am a primary school teacher.

I believe that books have the power to give knowledge, to challenge ways of thinking and to open worlds of imagination.  With my books, I aim to give you characters who you can relate to so you can understand their thoughts, feelings and actions.  As a teacher and as an author I passionately believe that PICTURE BOOKS ARE NOT JUST FOR YOUNG READERS.  I still have picture books from my childhood that I love to read!

As well as reading to the children in my classes and my two children at home, I love sports, quizzes and... well... reading!
